About Me

I bought my first Computer in 1982 when I was 16 years old.
Since then I have never let go of any computer I have ever owned, so a large part of my collection are computers that I bought new and used daily. I have also collected many other vintage pieces over the years that were not originally mine.

I was mainly a Commodore user in my youth. I started out using Commodore PET computers in High School in 1980. In ‘82, I bought a VIC-20. I upgraded to a Commodore 64 in ‘86, Amiga 2000 in ‘88 and Amiga 3000 in ‘92. I didn’t switch to a Windows PC until 1995

I have formal training and 15 years experience as an electronics repair tech and another 20 years as a network admin and engineer. I currently work as a consultant specializing in virtualization and storage systems.

I have a YouTube channel where I post some of my repairs and restorations.

  1. Hi, I have a 2001 9" monitor that just went on fritz, I think i made it worse. My dad showed me this in 80s, and now my 14year old son is interested and i dug it out and it worked for 5 minutes before capacitor blew on monitor, someone 'fixed' for me but made it worse.
I have some experience on amiga/c64 but not CRTs.
Do you know anyone that services these for people? I don't know if you do or not, but I really want to take advantage of my sons curiosity and i don't want to buy a new machine this has been in family since late 80s.
I watched your video on 12" but the board is completely different and it appears to have been worked on from the bottom as well.
Any help would be so appreciated, honestly just got divorced and my son is showing interest and I really looking for something to bond with him, that's why this is SO important to me.
    Thank you!
